Seminars integrate a threefold view of Jiu Jitsu: Overarching principles (leverage, misdirection, control, etc); Efficient transitions / combinations; and Nuanced Details / micro adjustments. Specializations include darces, sweeping, footlocks, even workshops dedicated to the application of breakdance for the improvement of your Jiu Jitsu.
Private and Semi-private (4 person max) sessions sessions focus on either building specific skills or personalized game and rolling analysis.
Jiu Jitsu is more than just the roll. Each practitioner brings with them their own unique style, approach, and expression. There is a purity, an elegance to that expression, beyond its utility.
"If You Know the Way Broadly, You Will See It in All Things."
- Miyamoto Musashi
Charles Harriott's martial arts journey was sparked by the cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. With the support of his parents this lead to learning Tae Kwon Do and American Kenpo in childhood. Heavily focusing on both the performance and point sparring elements. At age 13 he showed an early passion for sharing what he knew and began instructing, coaching both demonstration and sparring teams. As he entered high school his dojo emphasized cross training in kick boxing, judo, and kali.
At 17 he left home to attend the University of Florida to pursue a degree in Physics. While there with the advice of his elder sister he joined the Hip Hop Collective and found a passion for breakdance. This time breakdancing would serve him well when he began Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The coodination, balance, dexderity, and creativity translated beautifully to Jiu Jitsu. In the coming years he would train in many disciplines (kung fu, ken jutsu, judo, muay thai), but Jiu Jitsu and breakdance would hold a special place.
If I am near your area, you can request a visit to your school.
This global journey is inspired by my experiences travelling as a martial artist and dancer. Both of these groups cross lines of age, race, culture, religion, and socioeconomic status. On the mats all that matters is your Jiu Jitsu. In the cypher all that matters is your dance.

Curious on how YOU can make a difference in this project?
Whether you are a small school, an established academy, or an event promoter. A karate or yoga studio? Yes please! I am also interested in experiencing nature, photography, food, and arts in your area. Even a tremendous contribution could be in the form of housing (hosting me and my partner Lorna, who is a salsa instructor, see hugsandsalsa.com).
Please send me a message!
